Mark Wieser - Owner treehousedv
Mark has been in the field of education for over twenty years as an elementary and technology resource teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area, Hawaii, and Japan. He has also taught multimedia and video editing classes for the past ten years. Mark has been recognized for excellence in his classroom teaching and for his work in producing video to support curriculum and instruction.
In 2003, treehousedv began working with schools throughout California designated as “high priority” and “program improvement” producing instructional videos to engage parents in their child's academic development. The company evolved with the needs of districts and also began producing videos for professional development. Web-based videos can provide high quality training and convenient access while eliminating the costs for travel or substitutes. As professional development funds are reduced, video is an ideal option for organizations striving to develop a highly qualified staff meeting the diverse learning needs of students. treehousedv has created videos to:
• train teachers in curriculum and instruction
• train administrators and coaches
• prepare students for high stakes testing: STAR, CAHSEE, CELDT
• support English Language Learner development
• teach academic vocabulary
• secure grant funding
• recruit students to schools with declining enrollment
• present at national conferences
• inform parents and Boards about programs
• help parents prepare their children for Kindergarten.
Video can be the solution to your next great challenge!
